More than 250 women leaders attended the inaugural ASEAN Women of Tomorrow Conference 2017, held on 23-24 Nov at Sunway Hotel and at Tanarimba, Janda Baik. Among the topics discussed were disruptive trends of the new economy, multidimensional leadership, gender dividend, and the 4Ps of people, product, purpose and profit.
On navigating the present complexity, Anne Lise Kjaer, the global futurist, said people cannot solve 21st century challenges with yesterday’s tools. The delegates were introduced to the 4P model toolkit and the importance of thinking of the future as an interconnected entity.
The afternoon Trends Compass Workshop kicked off with a live poll, allowing the conference to amplify the voice of these women leaders. They also worked in small groups to visualise the organization’s future using the 4Ps toolkit. As leaders of tomorrow, their focus in this collaborative exercise was to balance social, sustainable and emotional values with economic prosperity.
Day 2 of the Conference took the women to Tanarimba, for their minds and bodies to experience the zen surrounding while they reflected and refocused with the aims to renewing inner self and clarifying their purpose as leaders.
The combination of good facilitation, expert panelists and a purpose-driven leadership workshop in an unconventional setting resulted in the most interactive 2-Day conference.
