#WomenImpactMakersConference 2022, Royale Chulan Penang

LeadWomen was at the #WomenImpactMakersConference 2022 that took place at the Royale Chulan Penang.

Supported by the Penang state government, YB Chong Eng, Penang State EXCO for Social Development & Non-Islamic Religious Affairs, Madam Bee Leng Ong, CEO of Penang Women’s Development Corporation, PWDC. Organised by Elizabeth Hor, AICI CIC, CIM (UK), Mily Goh and Bharati Suresh Chand.

It was great to witness the energy from the women leadership community in Penang. Mdm Bee Leng shared about the journey, coalitions involved and multiprong initiatives organised in Penang with #genderinclusivity as a focus. This includes Gender Inclusiveness Policy and Gender Responsive and Participatory Budgeting, where Penang is first state in Malaysia to have a policy around #genderinclusiveness.

LeadWomen was a Strategic Partner alongside National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Malaysia (NAWEM), Penang Women Chamber of Commerce, Lean In Penang Network, JCI (Junior Chamber International) Pearl and a few others in the WIMC 2022. We look forward to engaging forward and further with the women leaders of Penang.
